Subject to conditions prescribed by the University of California, Los Angeles, sealed bids for a lump-sum contract are invited for the following work:

Renovate and make fully-accessible two men’s and two women’s restrooms on the 2nd and 5th floors of 100 Medical Plaza, impacting about 1,000 ASF total. Within the restrooms, the scope of work includes new interior partitions, doors, ceilings, plumbing, lighting, and finishes, with minor modifications to existing fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems (via deferred submittals). Install two new drinking fountains in the elevator lobby on 2nd and 5th floors, impacting about 10 ASF total. This scope of work includes demolition, alcove and floor wall finishes, assembly and plumbing. Per the LIMITED PRE-RENOVATION HAZARDOUS MATERIALS SURVEY REPORT, dated 12/27/2021 lead and asbestos are present at the project site and require use of OSHA remediation procedures during door frame and mirror removal. Demolition of these materials require coordination with and oversight of an Environmental Consultant.

Provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, insurance, and services to construct the proposed project, which is to renovate the 1,192 SF reception area within suite 100 in the 100 Medical Plaza building. The scope of work includes new entry doors, new wall partitions, gypsum board and T-bar ceilings, new millwork and finishes. Minor modifications to existing fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems (via deferred submittals) will also be made to support the newly reconfigured spaces. Work will be performed off-hours and dust will be controlled with sealed plastic sheet barriers, as necessary.

Provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, insurance, and needed construction services for the tenant Improvement of suite 440 of the 100 Medical Plaza Building. This work is to include removal of existing walls to room 440-18 the removal the wall to room 440-09 to allow for new IT closet (room 436X). The intent of the project is to create a new IT closet that will serve the 4th and 5th floors of the 100 Medical Plaza building.

As part of this project the contractor will be given all need access and required to utilize the Universities Procore project management software for the duration of the project.

The University has determined that bidders who submit bids on Roof Replacement projects at the UCLA Wilshire Center, UCLA 100 Medical Plaza, UCLA Westwood Center, UCLA Wilshire Glendon, and UCLA Gayley Center buildings with construction costs estimated between $300,000 and $1,500,000 must be prequalified.  Prequalified bidders will be required to have the following California contractor's license(s):  C-39 Roofing Contractor

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK:  The work for these roof replacement projects consists of partial or complete roof replacement in occupied buildings owned by UCLA.  Bidders will coordinate all trades to complete the scope of work that includes but is not limited to demo of selected equipment, patching of existing penetrations, abatement of any hazardous material, if present, removal of existing roofing system, and installation of replacement roofing system.  Roof replacement projects will be in commercial buildings.  Some existing mechanical and electrical equipment will need to remain.  This equipment will need to be disconnected, lifted / moved while the underlying roof material is replaced, and then reinstalled in functioning condition.  The work will be phased to allow most of the work to be performed during business hours. Work that will impact building systems may be scheduled after hours when the building is not occupied.
